In 1950 our Carnaby Street store used to be a live jazz venue called Club Eleven. Originally located at 41 Great Windmill Street, Soho, the club played a significant role in the early history of British bebop, a form of modern jazz. The club was so named because it had 11 founders – business manager Harry Morris and ten British bebop musicians. Club Eleven had two house bands, one led by Ronnie Scott and the other by John Dankworth.

Over the last few months we have had a lot of fun with our 115 Portobello store windows. So for the latest one, we felt like throwing some paint around! So we decided to drip paint directly onto the windows, using some of the colours from our AW12 collection.
