We caught up with Tim at the launch of ’50 Years of British Style Culture' to talk Valentine’s Day, life on the road and his biggest style regret.

Last night we hosted a launch party at our conceptual retail space, Mod_ular Blanc to launch our new book and same name exhibition entitled, 50 Years of British Style Culture. Leading members of the UK's menswear press and friends of Ben Sherman were amongst the first to preview the exhibition and get their hands a copy of the newly published hardback.

As the snow falls outside our head-office in London, we are looking forward to Spring and the launch our new season collections. Last week we saw the sartorial bench mark of style raised in the cities capital with the second season of London Collections: Men. Between all the catwalk shows and parties there was some serious style to be seen on the pavements of London. One of our favourite style spots was that of La Touché, a well-known freelancer and PR Manager of one of our go to mens style sites, Individualism.

Sharps Barber and Shop is located in the 1st floor of our Islington store, offering traditional barber services from straight razor shaves and moustache maintenance to hair-cutting and restyling. This time of year is quite busy for the Sharps team with everyone wanting to tidy up for the festive season which is just around the corner. We are very pleased to announce that in March 2013 we will be supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust's week long concerts at the world famous Royal Albert Hall. Curated by Noel Gallagher next year’s annual series of shows sees Ryan Adams, Kasabian, Primal Scream, Rizzle Kicks and Labrinth take to the stage along with a night of comedy with Russell Brand and Noel Fielding.

On Thursday last week we lined up the Jameson Whiskey, and turned the volume up to eleven in our Mod_ular Blanc pop-up space in our Commercial Street store to welcome Marshall Headphones to their new residency. Black Manila provided some rock & roll spirit to the soundtrack for the evening and guests enjoyed whiskey and ginger, American style in red cups.

Whilst we eagerly await the opening of our Marshall pop-up at the end of this week, we take a look back at the history of another British brand celebrating 50 years in the business. Supplying sound to icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Pete Townsend, they are a brand with a rich heritage in music. 50 years of LOUD.

We are pleased to announce that we are hosting a photography exhibition within our London Portobello store. Roadside Britain by Sam Mellish shows the traditional and quintessential aspects of British trunk-roadside culture, with emphasis on location and environment. Depicting the people and places of a threatened livelihood, the images are warm, nostalgic, quirky and melancholic, giving immediate appeal to anyone who has ever driven any distance along the country’s A and B roads.
